Chimney Cap Installation & Repair
Keep water, animals and embers out of your flue.
A chimney cap is the single cheapest part of your chimney and the one that protects everything else. When it is missing, rusted through or the wrong size, rain falls straight down the flue, animals nest inside, and embers land on the roof. We measure the flue, recommend the right cap, and install it so it stays put through Texas storms.
Before any work
Need a Repair? Free Inspection Before We Start the Work
We look first, photograph what we find, explain the visible condition and the options, then price the work. You decide before anything begins.
Applies to the initial evaluation before applicable repair, restoration, fireplace and masonry work. Dedicated inspections — real-estate transactions and specialized Level 2 or Level 3 inspections — are separate priced services.

Our process
Step 1
Measure
We measure flue size, count flues and check crown condition before quoting a cap.
Step 2
Recommend
You get the cap option that fits: stainless single-flue, or fabricated full-coverage.
Step 3
Install
Cap is fastened and sealed so wind uplift and driving rain do not defeat it.
Step 4
Verify
We photograph the finished install so you can see the work without climbing a ladder.
Chimney Caps FAQs
- How long does a chimney cap last?
- A quality stainless cap can last decades. Galvanized caps rust much faster in Texas humidity and storm cycles, which is why we install stainless.
- Can you cap a chimney with two flues?
- Yes. Two or more flues usually call for a custom fabricated full-coverage cap that spans the entire crown.
